ISBCC Grand Opening Day June 26th 2009

It was my honor to deliver the first khutbah after the grand opening and ribbon cutting at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center located at 100 Malcolm X Blvd  (Roxbury), Boston, Mass.  I felt if only Malcolm X were here to see the fruit of his labors.  It is the legacy of Islam in America from before the time of Columbus rising above our struggle and achieving a great goal.

The started with an Interfaith Breakfast were prominent faith and political officials came to celebrate this milestone not just in the history of Muslims but a milestone for the city of Boston.

No Muslim victory is complete without an anti-Muslim demonstration across the street.   Spontaneously the organizers put together a peaceful response.
